Tangata Whenuatanga  - Our Vision

This relates to “who I am? Where am I? and what is the story of the place I belong? This is important for our children to grow and learn as it is their sense of place and belonging that forms the connection between themselves and their community. This connection encourages our students to go out of the classrooms to make connections, both with the land which tells its own story and with its community which connects the relationships between people. Lake Tekapo School aims to reflect and respond to its local communities goals by involving the history, customs and ecology of its unique locality.
